About flycheap.nyc

Most fare-alert tools — Google Flights alerts, Going, Scott's Cheap Flights — make you check, or subscribe per, a single airport or a single curated feed. flycheap.nyc treats JFK, LaGuardia and Newark as one combined market: it watches all three at once, so a deal landing at whichever airport doesn't get missed just because you were only watching one of them.

How it actually works

A server-side job pulls fare data for a 50-destination watchlist across all three NYC airports once a day, stores every observation, and compares each new price against that route's own 90-day median. A fare gets flagged as a “mistake fare” only once a route has enough of its own history (at least 10 recorded observations) and the new price comes in well below that median — never against a generic or invented baseline. Nothing is manually booked, called in, or test-confirmed before it's published. The full breakdown is on how we track fares.

Because a real price error can appear and disappear inside a few hours, a second automated job checks a public feed of freshly-posted flight deals every hour for anything on the same watchlist, scoring it against that same price history. A third, much smaller source is hand-curated from sites like Secret Flying when a human spots something worth adding directly.

What the Site isn't

flycheap.nyc is not a travel agency and doesn't sell tickets — every deal links out to the airline or a travel site to complete booking. Prices are cached snapshots, not guaranteed live quotes, and can change or disappear between when they're posted and when you click.

Who runs this

flycheap.nyc is operated by GetJobbed, a sole proprietorship registered in the State of New Jersey. Some booking links earn an affiliate commission — see our affiliate disclosure. There are no testimonials, press mentions, or user counts on this site because none exist yet; we'd rather leave a section blank than make one up.
