Three airports, one watchlist

New York is the cheapest place in America to leave from, but only if you know which of the three airports the fare landed at. We treat them as one market.

JFK

John F. Kennedy

LGA

LaGuardia

EWR

Newark Liberty

  1. 1

    Scan

Once a day we sweep fares from JFK, LGA and EWR to a curated watchlist of 50 leisure destinations across the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, plus domestic sun routes. Every hour we also check a public feed of freshly-posted flight deals for anything on that same watchlist, since a real price error can appear and disappear well inside a day.

  2. 2

    Baseline

Each route's own recorded observations set its typical price — the median of the last 90 days. Until a route has at least 10 observations of its own, it borrows a regional baseline as a rough stand-in. A fare has to sit well under that number before it counts as a deal.

  3. 3

    Flag

A fare is only ever flagged as a mistake fare against its own price history — once a route has enough observations, and the new price comes in well under that route's median. No fare on this site is manually reviewed or test-booked before it's posted.

  4. 4

    Publish

Deals go out with the date window, the airline, the fare class, and the catch — bag fees, basic-economy limits, connection quality.

The watchlist

50 destinations, chosen because people actually take vacations there. We deliberately skip Latin America and South America — fare data for those markets is unreliable and routinely misquotes taxes and surcharges.

Browse the full 50-destination watchlist — each route has its own page with a live JFK/LGA/EWR comparison, the recorded price history, and the airlines flying it.

Prices shown are the lowest round-trip totals seen at the time of posting and change without notice. Always confirm the final price with the airline before booking anything else.

Common questions

Is every fare checked by a person?

Depends on the source. Duffel-priced fares come straight from a live search with no person involved. A fare spotted on a public deals feed was written up by someone else first, but whether it counts as a mistake fare on this site is still decided automatically, against that route's own price history — never a person's judgment call, and nothing here is manually booked, called in, or verified before it's published. Always confirm the price on the airline's own site before booking anything else.

How is a 'typical' price calculated?

From the median of our own price observations for that route over the last 90 days. Routes without enough history yet (fewer than 10 observations) use a regional baseline instead.

Why treat JFK, LGA and EWR as one market?

Because the cheapest fare to a given destination can land at any of the three, and most travelers can fly from more than one. Watching only one airport means missing deals at the others.
